Lucid NYC is creating a more enlightened world one party at a time

We believe the new world will not be created in a space where you need to shout to the person standing next to you–it will happen through conversation and involvement in one another’s lives, work and passions.

To keep our party’s conversations enlightened–or at least moving in that direction–we have 3-4 short presentations or performances. The rest of the night is devoted to keeping the conversation going, hanging out with other cool people in a relaxed, non-commercial, unmediated environment (not a church, not a political gathering, etc.), getting involved with one another’s projects and passions.

Why presentations at a party?

Just as the experience of going to a bar or club is informed and established by loud music and a focus on alcohol, the experience at Lucid NYC is informed and established by our presenters and their presentations. While the former experience distances people from one another, ours draws people closer together.

And since our world demands that we face manifold challenges and issues, our presenters are never restricted to one topic or ideology. We give space to myriad topics, from architecture to anarchy (see presenter bios).
